"seeming lack of ambition" how can you say that when the wanted list was Thurston, Burgess, Cronk, Hargreaves, Bromich, Graham, Tomkins, Ingliss and Cox.
The only one available was Cox !!!!!. We have ambition but as Mummy would have said "You cant always have what you want".

i don't think anyone can accuse the club of lacking ambition... It seems to me that its the exact opposite...... Its has invested heavily in facilities, team and management over the last few years.

You can make some accusations at lazy recruitment and recruiting in the wrong areas....Which the club now seem to be in the process of fixing.

lacking ambition though? come on.. please.

i think they're doing it on purpose, antagonizing certain sections of fans, stayaways, grumpy lovers however you want to label them, for some people though, they just can't do anything right no matter what. Using the slightest of issues to justify staying away or persistantly moaning.

We all know someone thats like this.

Warrington made the third most metres in Super League last season and the most metres per carry in the league. That would seem to suggest go forward was not the issue.

Perhaps 10th for clean breaks might have an ambitious club looking to recruit halfbacks, like Sandow and Gidley for example.

Naughty ;-). You know Metres and AG includes all players not just the pack and will distort the facts. After Hill, Stefan Ratchford made our most metres. 7 of the top 10 AG for Wire were backs.

I think the problematic stat is Tackle Busts at 6th in the league and below all of our rivals. At times we looked like we could not burst out of a paper bag when we needed to and were easily contained. Hull KR CCSF game especially.

I will concede though that we looked equally poor on the opposition 30m line too in terms of creativity and a new halfback pairing was a must.

He's replacing Anthony England for God's sake not Les Boyd. All your criticisms of Cox apply to England as well.

Do you honestly believe England is better than Cox?

Anyway my gripe with the whinging spoilt schoolgirl contingent is the accusation of lack of ambition.

I agree with you, I don't believe England is any better than Cox. But it still doesn't mean I'm happy we've signed him. We've swapped an average player with a spitting problem for a player who might be good with an attitude problem, that by his own admission needs to grow up.

Well, I said we should never have let Roy Asotasi go. A big experienced prop that never got injured and hardy missed a game. Where are all those detractors now ?

Did Cox play against us 2/3 seasons ago scoring a try? unless my memory is playing tricks he had a decent game and was a bit of a handful.

Best of luck to the lad he seems to be in the right frame of mind now and is intent on doing well.

He sure did. Round 22 of the 2013 season, he scored KR's only try in a 34-6 home win for the Wire.
