Don't know what Griffin must have said there. Perhaps it was 'unacceptable language'? If so, interesting disciplinary coming up!

20 seconds of madness from Griffin. He gave the penalty away on the stroke of HT and gave the assistant ref verbals. Then carried it on with the ref after the whistle.

As per the earlier comment, you have to wonder if it was unacceptable language following the yellow which led to the red?

JJB talking about a 'culture shift' regarding player's attitudes towards referees. As if Saint Kevin Sinfield et al never used to crowd around refs and gob off? Also, it might have something to do with the rise in terrible referring calls? We'd see one howler every two weeks or so in the past, now there are several in every match. Grow some nads and call that out, rather than blame the players as if it's all one sided.

I can't express just how much I detest St Helens. The entire lot, the fans, the team, etc. Haven't heard a peep from them until they take the lead. Absolutely vile.

Harsh call, that wasn't a trip IMO. But it gifts Saints good position and most likely a try.

For a club who have a rich tapestry of ref-bothering (including the head coach as a player) thats quite a way to gain an advantage.

If the language was McGuire-esque then I hope the same punishment is metered out, if it wasn't then Kendal has reaffirmed his position as a pedantic wetwipe.
