Wasn't he miffed at having to change sides to accommodate Goodwin ?

Yes, he only moved to right centre, to allow Bryson Goodwin to play left centre, after we signed Goodwin.

I've heard numerous times that King is on a big salary. Not sure what is defined as big and whether that's even true but it's true to say his form has been erratic.
There must also be questions regarding why he was given such a long contract. Probably at the end of the day it's a judgment call by the coach/club based on performance, attitude, consistency and how the coach wants to play him/ how he fits within the squad/style of play.
Clearly a wrong call somewhere, although that's easy for me to see watching on the sidelines.

The majority on here were in favour of securing King on a decent contract and few predicted a substantial drop in performance which did start last season. If Wigan or St Helens had beat us to signing him up then there would have been major criticism for our lack of ambition.

You look at his top 10 tries in SL on YouTube, all but 1 he is playing on the right.

From the man himself

He’s more than capable of playing well on the right, it just isn’t his preferred side.

Powell is exactly right. King has stalled since his contract extension. Huddersfield obviously didn't want him either with his return of 1 try in 8 games. Wardle 4 from 6 for us.

If you're talking about the warrington one, that's from 2018 and 2019 when he was at right centre because of bryson goodwin

Since Goodwin left he's been at left centre bar gi's cameo

Plenty of people on here were calling out the hype at the time. He was being talked off like a Gene Miles or Mal Meninga. The duration of the contract was crazy then as it is now.

I find it really interesting that his perceived downturn in form occurred when he moved to the left in that case.
