Hughes is better in the middle.
I have only watched the first half of the australia game but BMM covered a lot of space to make some really good tackles to cut breaks off. I think that has more to do with desire to make the tackle rather than a sudden peak in fairness and athletic ability.
I've thought for a while that Hughes would be best suited for the 13 role, and BMM can offer some real threat if he carries his fitness and form in to 2020.
Would be a shame if he were to leave now, we've never seen the best of him and when he's on it, could be one of the best 2nd rowers in the competition. Be interested to see if any NRL club could fit him in, they all seem to be under salary cap pressures and seem to plan signings 12 months plus in advance - myabe he is being looked at for 2021?
Is there a salary cap for the ladies team? Maybe we could give her a big contract!
