Yes I agree, I can understand in the heat of the game fans were frustrated and this embodied itself in chanting and abuse (although still I didn't join in with this because IMO when things are going wrong the LAST thing they need is the fans on their backs) but to carry this over to the next day, abusing them face to face, that is really bad.
Do some people forget that the players are people too? OF COURSE they knew they played badly and that we were not happy. And maybe every now and then they do need a reality check from the fans showing their frustration. But if I was a Wire player, some of the abuse they have had to put up with, I would be past the point of thinking "I am gonna give 110% to turn this season round for the fans".
Anyway, rant over..... despite the result I still had an absolutely brilliant weekend! Lots of sun, lots of booze and lots of great banter with all the Wire fans
will definitely be there next year and will probably stay for longer next time (that 5AM start on Sunday morning to get the plane was too much
