Moe stop making up rubbish.

England's Grand Slam teams scored plenty of tries. Underwood, Guscott and Carling scored lots of tries in 91, 92 and 95 and Robinson, Luger, Lewsey, Tindall and co filled their boots in 2003. The idea that England were a forwards dominated machine who never scored any tries was basically bait thrown at them by the Aussie media because England won a couple of games against southern hemisphere opposition off the back of Wilkinson kicking penalties and drop goals. The majority of England games in Englands Grand Slam winning eras, they used to rip teams apart quite convincingly because they had a good backline.

Moe you know nothing about RU so stop trying to make cheap jibes.

I was a big Will Greenwood fan, thought he had a pretty good brain, and a decent pair of hands.

Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

Carling scores 12 tries in 73 tests, hardly lots.

yeah but dont forget Sally thinks Wire fans get misty eyed over Mark Roberts...!! when in FACT he had a better try scoring ratio than Mark Forster, and Des Drummond, and a ratio twice as good as Gary Sanderson, Bob Jackson Paul Cullen and Mike Gregory.

you shouldnt knock Rugby union...... its funnier that one foot in the grave!

I'd say it's a bit disrespectful.

Why don't you just ask him did he ever fancy playing RL and does he like / follow the game?

Quite right, mind you could be a laugh watching him pose the question, watching the heads in the room turn, his bowels go all loose, as he prays he doesn't meet Jeff in the car park afterwards.

He might have long finished his professional career.....but I wouldn't extract any urine from him.

I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

I palyed loads of Union, front row prop or hooker. It is an extremley hard physically demanding position to play. It is also completely different to a league front row poistion, the roles are not interchangeable.

Asking Probyn to play laegue front row would be as stupid as asking Morely to do the reverse.

For thise of us old enough to remember there have been a few union props who crossed over and were succesful. Mike Coleman as Salford was one a we had Bobby Wanbon and Brian Butler (he wasn't that good I suppose)

How can I miss you, if you won't go away????

This whole thread just highlights the absurdity of comparing League and Union.

Its like comparing Test cricket with 20/20 cricket....2 completely different versions of the same sport, but in both instances, you have either the pure version of the game, or the perceived 'entertainment' version of the game.

In reality, especially in the Cricket example, the entertainment version (20/20) is actually aimed at people who don't have the intellegence to absorb the technicalities of the sport.

P.S....What question did Mr Witless eventually ask???
