Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

Players are supposed to be professional, however King has been made a massive scapegoat for the performances of other players/the team, it has been mentioned on a different thread that all the boys played poorly but King was by no means the worst, despite this he is still targeted with with personel abuse by some "supporters" who do not know their rear end from their elbow. How much influence can he really have whilst playing on the wing and not receiving good ball. Not condoning his actions but tbh i cannot blame him

I agree.

I wasn't there today but I was told by people who were that he was made a scapegoat because he was the closest player to lash out at.

Do we all want him to play well? (I do). Then get off his back and let him get on with it without abuse.

You may all be ten times stronger than me but I can only speak for myself. If I was subjected to the stick he's had my confidence would be in my boots.

Give him a break.

just one question.
you ever see a centre perform at the top of his ability when the half backs are not in sync.
thinks kings salary makes him the scapegoat her quite easily.

but your halves/ lf are the problem.

come on honas barret king glesson, you thing you have a problem?

sooooooooooooo did you need to fork out on forwards?ie morley?

end of career, pension opinions please?

But here's come here with a big reputation. He has to stand out from the rest as by all accounts - his salary does. Everytime i hear about the Matt King saga i am reminded of John Gallagher.

Whether he is a scapegoat or not he shouldn't have done what he did, it's very unprofessional. When players on opposings teams have to turned round and responded to fans chanting things no excuses were used for them, they were just abused more. I've always stuck up for King but his actions today was a disgrace.

It was unproffesional (like I have said in another thread) but he was subject to a lot of abuse from particular fans sitting around me. For him to do what he did was terrible, but I dont think fans should be blaming him for everything, he is the easy target on the wing closest to us in the second half though. I am not defending his actions, but he was subject to a lot of abuse at the time...

I understand that but surely the best thing to do would be to rise above it as it's his job as a professional rugby player, the abuse will just get worse now which is a shame.

im sick of all this crap why cant we just have a good season without injurys and drinking issues, players not wanting to play ect ect.

what on earth is going on atall. every year its the same thing for years its been like this. as fans we seem to know what the problems are from an outsiders point of view but the club are just oblivious to it all or so it seems.

it seems to me that its the players running our club and its morans play thing.

im realy angry at the whole thing to be honest.
