Poor discipline was a really heavy contributing factor in our defeat today,we cant afford to keep giving teams as many penalties as we did today. We were the same against Saints and Widnes, We need to cut it out!

Re. penalties...the team are giving the same stupid penalties away week after week ,these professionals know exactly what they are doing wrong & should be able to correct the situation.

Me: I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.

knockersbumpMKII: Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm

Re: Great test for Tony : Mon Apr 09, 2012 6:47 pm
It's a test for the coach, I agree. We're not playing well at the moment other than in spells. He's paid well to sort these issues and I'm sure he will.

As an amateur, if it were me, I'd start by focusing on improving our discipline and completion rate. By being poor at both were surrendering territory and possession. That impacts everything, including attack and pereceived 'fitness' (with emphasis on the word perceived cos no one has the first clue how fut they are).

With an even share of possession and territory, we'll win most of our games because of the quality of our players. I appreciate the way we play is high risk but there's a time and place. If we clean those up, well be top 3 easy.

And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

Re: Great test for Tony : Mon Apr 09, 2012 6:53 pm
Personally, and I'm probably not the only one on here, there is a definite sense of trying not to panic at the moment.

I've been happy enough to go along with the whole 'playing poorly/still winning' line and the 'look how Leeds did it last year' thing too, but if we are being honest, then its fair to say there is a bit of a rot set in at the moment, which needs stopping pretty rapidly.

Performances are getting worse, certain individuals are way, way off form and some are looking, I hate to say it, a little old and past their use-by date.

I'm sure Tony Smith has it all in hand, but at this point in time, I'm a little worried that there are 3 or 4 sides who are just that bit stronger than us at present....Not that there is much in it - A sudden change in form and we might just be back to our exciting best, however, at present, I'm probably half empty, rather than half full..... 8)

It is the basics that we are not hitting on, a few players are a little out of sorts.. nice to see Myler getting stick on here even when he went off early on!!

It's April and nothing is won now and three games is all it takes to finish top dogs of SL

But some players are getting close to the end of there careers, but I think we have enough coming through the ranks to stop worrying, nailing season tickets to trees, even throwing our shirts on to the pitch!!

Didn't think ball control was too bad today in the shape of rauhihi moves. As I've said elsewhere I'm very VERY worried about our inability to defend.

I don't know if we've gone into this season attempting lo replicate what Leeds did last year but that's a dangerous game to try. also if it's some weird way to get some 'harder' games than last year, it's not working
