I'm too disappointed to really post without being all doom and gloom,

But we managed to finish first over-the-counter season and have found that deckannpatton can step up to the plate as can t king. Which are huge positives ww can take from the season.

I remain optimistic for next season but think that this is one of worst teams we've had in terms of scoring on the wing, Lineham had a few opportunities more half chances than anything else tho and Russel even less!!

But congratulations Wigan deserved winners of that gf

Russell's not a winger and lineham must have the worst passing centre in the league.

What you looking at?....Butt Head!!

Re: The Big One - Warrington v "The Thugs" : Sat Oct 08, 2016 7:23 pm
from a neutral perspective i thought Gidley was one of your better players tonight. Its easy to look for people to point the finger at but imo it was the lack of punch in the pack aside from Simms and Hill is pretty non existant especially next to Wigan who had loads of go forward. If your going to point fingers tonight look no further than Westerman, made brain fart after brain fart and missed some bad one on ones.

Spot on.What I would have given to have seen Boyd,Tamati + Jackson on that field tonight + aside from Hilly the pack is crap imo.

Why the "Thugs" title by the OP, it was a gutsy display by Wigan whilst Wolves were all huff and puff in the second half. Might be your year next year, next year, next year.

The negative posting is ridiculous. Lineham was excellent bar one drop, Gidley should have passed it out near the end, put that was outweighed by many spot on kicks and tenacious defence, Sandow was excellent when he came on ( can't believe the idiot who posted to say he should have gone home!) We lost it in the forwards with lack of go forward, and it's no surprise with the players we had missing.

To those who are slagging the players off, you should be ashamed of yourselves. They put 100% in. There's always going to be a winner and loser. I'm gutted but no scape goats, we were so close again.

Every time rhys Evans got the ball I knew the attack was over or nothing would come of it. We've been carrying him all year and it cost us badly tonight. We need a couple of wingers but our completion and game management wasn't up to scratch tonight. Well done wigan (I hate you).

Re: The Big One - Warrington v "The Thugs" : Sat Oct 08, 2016 7:45 pm
Your pack really fell short. Only hill busted any holes. Wigan really dominated in that area, every player was making metres after the collision, warrington didn't have this as much. Wigan had many more chance across the whole game and the scorline kind of flattered warrington. Wigan fully deserved to win, unfortunately. The wait goes on.

Gloss over it all you like but we've become known as the bottlers. Not saying the effort wasn't there but the fact of the matter is we cannot finish teams off in the big games + as I've already stated that was not the best Wigan team by a long chalk.2 lost finals in a season ain't good enough for this club esp the amount of money spent on players.

Maybe more people on here will see we need a bigger, more aggressive pack now. A classic contrast stood out - Wigan have Farrell we have Wilde.
