Im in the give Powell time camp but not sure I can take much more of this, it’s abysmal and to go from one of the best defences to the second worst is shocking. Pre-season he said he only needed to tweak a tiny thing with the defence….what on earth did he do?

Also hearing he does not rate Longstaff which is a huge worry. Has he seen our appalling second row???

Toulouse at home is going to be a relegation decider, thank god we don’t have to go there.

I think we have been very lucky today in that Wakefield's general open field defence is as good/bad as our own. If we hadn't been able to make good progress up field to get in scoring positions it could have been another big loss.
We have found our level this season ,next to bottom of superleague.

As an aside we’ve won 1 of the last 11 league games. From that victory he’s publically castigated Dean (who was either MOM or second in the running) and sent him out loan and dropped the hat-trick scoring MOM from his true position.

Knackers to it….Powell out.

How can Powell explain how this team of misfits (being polite) can take the lead 4 times, never be behind in 76 minutes, yet still end up losing?

We may look good on paper, but we defend like were made of paper.

The fans deserve so much more effort than this.....and if Powell really thinks that Longstaff wouldn't try harder than our current second row, he's a fool.

It's the Emporers new clothes; maybe Powell isn't as good as we like to think he is???

It's absolutely abysmal now and 1 win in the last 11 is pants. Powell will never get this or even his team over the line we want him to. He is not the man for the job.

Exactly.
Under Price, we mirrored an Aussie side that plays a grade below NRL level (I'd imagine). Got the basics right, but lacked flare. I don't know what we resemble now, bar a shambles.
Powell comes with a cV of improving players. To me, EVERY ONE of our regular starters has regressed. Something's got to give, before our next game. Either a few players dropped, or Powell and Sheridan (yes, he's as culpable) need to go.

The club is in a rotten state. We need action, either one way or another. We cannot merely carry on, "hoping for the best"

Just for perspective, we lost 6 on the bounce under Price in 2019 so we didn't always dig in. We certainly didnt dig in during the playoffs for 3 years. We stink at the moment, but let's not paint Price as Wayne Bennett.
