When you look at Briers in the NRL, Price getting big raps as assistant back at Cronulla, and our club seemingly no further forward (if anything further back) than when they were here, it makes you realise the rot had very little to do with the coaching structure.

Where do you think the rot is?

Well, as most of the NRL sides go for short drop outs most of the time, I guess they've worked out the odds. But you probably know better than the NRL coaches.

What the hell was Broncos thinking 24-8 up and going short drop outs makes no sense. From 4 drop outs they conceded 3 try’s

Pretty obvious really.
We’ve got owners without whose money we would be nowhere so we can’t call that.
What I don’t understand is they wouldn’t have that money if they weren’t exceptional at running their respective companies. However, they are just true Rugby League fans like you and me witnessed by Moran being in the away end yesterday.
When it comes to running a successful club they employ a CEO to do that, Fitzpatrick. He is good at marketing/advertising which when getting the job on the back of Tony Smiths years was pretty easy. The product on the field though is not good enough and Fitzpatrick for me should have gone just for what as been delivered on the field in the last 2 years with money invested.
We’ve hopefully now got the next best scenario with Fitzpatrick being taken away from rugby duties and this being given to Chambers.
We are essentially going back 2 years in employing a novice coach with no head coach experience in Burgess.
Fitzpatrick must of fallen out with Briers 2 years ago because the route we are going down now we might as well of given Lee a go.

I think it's wider than KF. It's more endemic, almost in the fabric of the place which reflects in the standards set and the fans mindset. A good example is the appointment of a DOR - which was exactly the right move but the choice of candidate was classic Warrington. I would love to know the recruitment process behind that.

Is it always the case player of the match is selected from the winning team. Up till Cleary scored that try I didn’t think he had done an awful lot, I say this as Mam with those 3 try’s was electric and for me was player of the match.

Got to disagree Karetaker. I’d still go for Cleary.
If you get chance just rewatch the game again. Penrith were best side 1st half You could only see one winner Cleary’s kicking game controlling it. First 20 minutes of 2nd half Mam with the hat trick was awesome. But then why you pay the big bucks Cleary turns up with a performance that people will talk about for years to come. 40/20 etc, finishing off with the winning 6 points.

Neither glass half full or empty. Just a realist.

It'll be the classic...."he knows the club and the players".
That attitude exemplifies where the club is at. That's where we should be a million miles from.
No mates, no personal historys, just a clean break from the past. We don't owe these old boys a living.

I believe Ratchford has been promised a job upon retirement. Wonderful.
