Having only been watching Wire since 2002, my first experience of a Semi Final was against Wigan at the Autoquest (I think it was called that back then!!). I was absolutely gutted after the final hooter.



The playoff game at the JJB was immense. 12-6 up at half time, Nat Wood with a blinding try. All went pear shaped in the 2nd half, but come the end of the game none of us would move.



20 minutes after the game, you could still see us all in the stands when the Sky team was doing their wrap up, jumping around, singing etc!

Yeap...we all sang v-d-v's barmy army for the full 80 mins and some.

We wouldn't go home and they tried in vein to drown us out with the tannoy system.

I would love it if we would all to that again next time at the jjb "Brian Smith's Barmy Army" of course!

mine would be the near sell out at the jjb because it was a good start to the season and was the biggest crowd i've been in (bar magic weekends)

wembley (1990) sticks in my mind first and last time i shed a tear at a sporting event....

I was there that day- we won 18-6, it was 1989 I think. Beautiful sunny day and we beat the mighty Wigan on their own patch

Watching for around 10 years, worst memory was the semi-final at Widnes and when Nat Wood didn't find touch on a penalty, and then Wigan virtually scored in the next set and won the game, anyone remeber that year?



Good memory, was the hot dog.

i remember a new years day game at Central Park when we won and Basil Richards scored, it was the 1st time i had seen Wire beat the then "awesome" Wigan team

First touch of the ball,a great run by gary mercer settin him up,throwing it down as well that day..

2004, we went on to Cardiff and got raped by St Helens.

Jiffy had a blinder for you lot in a really close game. Mike Greg giving away that penalty in the last few minutes which Botica slotted to win the game 8-6. Absolutely defeaning atmosphere from start to finish, as packed as I ever saw Wilderspool. Proper derbies in those days.



And of course, the two points were quite crucial in the final league standings I seem to remember

I remember that being Cullen for going in with the knees in the tackle....
