I believe that the story was the Primark were going to take over boots when they moved into the new part of the golden square BUT debenhams said that as a condition of them assisting with the funding of GS then primark would not be allowed in.

I can't see that as I dont think the units on bridge street have anything to do with golden square and they therefore could not stop them taking it up.



From what I here the unit was too small / wrong layout for them.

It would be too small but there was a condition in Debenhams' agreement that Primarni would not be allowed into town for a number of years. Ideal place for it would have been old Woolies building.

Personally speaking on behalf of the rock crowd and echoing what was mentioned overleaf, new rock/metal/other night club to fill th gap left by the world and the carlton.
