everything points to the fact that we are not fit enough!
shot our bolt in the first half...nothing left for the second.
Same old same old.
Watching us v Saints is like going to see the same west-end play over and over again...you just know whats coming next..its as if its scripted.
It is early days (first game and all that)..but the signs are that nothing has changed....
I can't disagree with any of that the way we ran out of steam in the last 20 was alarming..
Another thing Monaghan really needs to shape up or ship out...
There was One particular moment when we were still 2 points in front and after being put under pressure we made it into the Saints half...
On the 5th tackle Monaghan put up a nothing bomb instead of drilling the ball into Saints corner and making them work hard to get back up the field...
this is why warrington will never win anything, they have no composure and dont no how to handle a comanding lead - as micky higham said "Saints didnt win the game, warrington lost it"
saints did not look the unbeatable team we've seen in the last years, saints wont be beating any teams 40+
i thought wire played very well the best iv seen of them for a long time something is missing in the halfbacks though its games like that were alfie langer would of turned the magic on, its the first of many games and to be honest i dont think anyone would of beat saints in the last 20 . maybe you needed another freindly game.. but lots of positives well done wire good luck next week.

Really? We lost by 6 tries to 2. We are further from ever against a Saints team who didn't have to do too much last night.

I think you'll find that both happened.

I will have you a bet of 10 english pounds that sometime this season we score 40+ points against somebody.
I think SaintsFan is on the button. Saints got a roll on and we aided them with turning over the ball far too cheaply.
It's easy to disregard Saints' ability at utilising momentum and say we didn't look fit, they are masters of getting upfield from the play the ball. I would love to see the amount of tackes and completion rate. /the gane is about momentum, Saints got a
I would go as far to say we lost the game in the first half, with the amount of posession and position we had we should have gone in further ahead than we did. A couple of areas we do seem to repeating errors is concentration from restarts and unforced errors.
All-in-all I am quite confused, we looked composed in defence in the first half, yet completely the opposite in the second half.
Our goal line defence in the first half also looked a little worrysome but we were in those instances aided by some uncharacteristically poor handling from saints, saints blew at least 3 (if not more) clear cut scoring chances that they ordinarily would not have done in that first half.
Warrington will not have a successful season (and by successful I am aiming low by meaning a challenge cup semi final and/or at least two wins in the playoffs) unless they can learn to defend close to their own try line.
