My 2 penn'eth worth..
The main thing that any Wire coach can do now is try an get to the bottom of why this current batch of players simply DO NOT GET ON WITH EACH OTHER!
This my sound overly simplistic but judging from their general demeanour and body language their appears to be no camaraderie/team-spirit whatsoever.
For example when Wakey were defending their try-line early in the 2nd half they were constantly putting their bodies on the line to stop our players from breaking through. When our set of six was repelled they were all geeing each other up/ shouting encouragement to each other, they genuinely seemed to be all signing from the same hymn sheet and more importantly RESPECTED each other as players who were doing a great job!
The comparison to Wires attitude is startling, their seems to be inherent cliques forming in the side which when applied to a TEAM sport like RL is very very damaging.
I don't believe it's fitness, I don't believe these players have forget how to play RL, in many respects I don't believe it is purely down to poor coaching, however as previously stated I really do believe that it is because there is no TEAM ethos amongst these players for what ever reason and it's this that needs addressing as a matter of urgency!
