The problem is there are no Maurice Lindsays about in RL HQ anymore. People with drive and ambition for the game.

The Rugby League World Club Challenge, take the International games to Wembley and Old Trafford. All Maurices ideas, and sell them.

But now we have Nigel Wood, who took his own club Halifax into administration.

If it doesn't sell out, then fair enough. But I believe there will be at least a couple of thousand fans, per team, that will be disappointed.

Lefty will point out that the same fixture in 2004, didn't sell out.
