It was on the cards and personally I thought he's be going back after 1 season before we announced his signing.
Gold Coast said that they wanted him for 2019 and couldn't get him within the cap for 2018.

It's not that surprising, it's fairly obvious that he hasn't settled. I do think he's a good player and he would have come good and he still could to be fair. Its a shame but better we have players who want to be here.

It is a bit of a disappointment but then again so has he been. If he has anything about him he will morph into the player we thought we were signing in the first place and take us to the GF playing in a more relaxed frame of mind and showing his undoubted talent.

Good authority tells me Mellor is trying to get out of his Widnes contract to come to Warrington.
