Bring him over on a contract for the rest of the year, with another year option in our favour wouldn't be risky. But if it's for next year that's a bigger risk.

£600k per year?

Not a chance. Nathan Clearly is on that.

600k Aussie dollars equates to about £320k which is still think is far more than Wigan would pay for a prop with injury concerns.

I think the Thompson salary hype is far overblown as the click bait articles keep mentioning his current Australian salary.

His value has gone down significantly since then and won’t command even half as much IMO.

Regarding anyone coming in this season I’m guessing will also revolve around what’s happening with McGuire. Does anyone know if he is appealing the ban, it’s all very quiet from the club just now.
