Didn't think ball control was too bad today in the shape of rauhihi moves. As I've said elsewhere I'm very VERY worried about our inability to defend.

I think you're worrying needlessly. Our defence early in the season was awesome, it only seems to me to have slipped in the last couple of weeks which is more a result of being knackered after a run of Wigan - Saints - and an Easter weekend trip to France rather than an inability to defend.

Wire will be just fine. Come June time all these gripes will be a distant memory.

Certainly Wigan and Widnes just didn't show enough ability to take advantage of our bad play and slip-ups, unlike Saints who pretty much took full advantage. We were beaten by a better side today, and whilst we didn't play well, there won't be many sides who get anything out in Catalan this season based on what I've seen today.

I thought the post a few above might be a wind-up but now I'm not so sure.

eer nope, but when you bet a lot on rl, you cannot afford to be blinkered

I'm not blinkered, betting Cats -2 or scratch today looks like a great bet on paper considering the past few weeks, fair play if you took it up.

Doesn't mean all your points were valid though.

Bit of perspective needed I think. The game, for me, turned on two or three incidents. When Bridge broke and sent a poor pass out to Monaghan, he could easily have stepped inside the defender and gone in himself. Would have put us level at least at that point. Instead, we soon had the farce at the other end where Monaghan and Hodgson between them contrived to let the ball bounce resulting in Anderson's try. Thus a ten point HT deficit rather than parity or even a small lead.

Also, Pryce stopping Hodgson from grounding was a big moment. The fact the Dragons scored three times in the last ten minutes put a bit of a gloss on the scoreline for them - it was a closer game than the margin suggested, though they were undeniably the better side.

Warrington do look disjointed at present, that's for sure, but I don't think there's any disgrace in getting beaten by a decent-looking side. The next three SL games are eminently winnable - six points from these fixtures will see us on 21 points after 14 rounds. Which is one more than at the same stage last season...

A few things for us to remember;

1/ We are not as good as we think. One of the best sides in the comp no doubt - with Wigan, Hudds, Catalans & Leeds
2/ Every team needs 2 half backs on the pitch at any 1 time. Fair enough
3/ Our pack is too old. Wrong - Menzies anyone?
4/ o Brien is our hb alomgside Briers. Wrong - Richie Myler is
5/ This hammering has been long overdue True
6/ Anymore trips to Australia should be scrapped Why? It's sport, form is temporary, class is permanent
7/ Hodgson's best years were at Huddersfiels, and yet, he is still 1 of our best playes. We knew when we signed him, it's for his attacking prowess. He shouldn't be tackling, the defensive line has made a mistake to get to him
8/ Westwood ( alongside Nat Woods) has been our best signinging in the last 20 years. Nat Wood over Briers? I'm going to say Myler to wind you up.
9/ We miss Louis Anderson......see number 8. Trent hasn't settled yet, I don't think Louis would make any difference
10/ Smith, by his record, will not be here next year. This comment sums up this entire post
11/ Catalans are a very under-rated team, and in Scott Dureau have ( Alongside Young Sam at Wigan) the best ball-playing-thinker in the game Catalans see my comment above. Dureau is a great player. Hard to say who's the best thinker to be fair to others. 1 example is Lee Briers
12/ Bridge is a Hb and not a centre. You couldn't be more wrong
13/ Myler should be immediately given back to Widnes. Why now? For getting injured?

The team is going nowhere fast, and quickly becoming the Man City of RL.Ballcocks

Won a packet today, but that was bloody annoying.

Here's a thing for you to remember. You're entitled to an opinion, but don't come shouting the odds especially when your chatting out your backside. Yeah we're playing poor at the moment. The team (the 17 on the field, not just Richard Myler) are making errors, poor defensive reads, falling off tackles, dropping the ball, poor passes, etc. and because of that lacking a bit of confidence. Individual errors at the end of the day. This can be, and I'm confident it will be, corrected come the business end. You can't play at 100% every week.

Win as a team, lose as a team. They all still get my backing (Still have a pet hate with Higham but I will concede he's been good for us this year).

it's only 6 months (approx) since Wire were the best team in the country, thrashing most teams.
Not a crisis yet, just surprising. Can't remember the last time you got 'well beat'.

You seem to forget conceding 30 points at home to Wakefield in mid-March.
