Saints were missing both halfbacks and had to put a 19 and 20 year old there and still beat us with absolute ease.

The scoreboard totally flattered us.

We are a million miles away from winning a super league title and are only where we are in the league because the rest of the league is so poor

And yet before tonight St Helens had only won one more game than us. We were missing Austin, Cooper, Charnley (who's metres coming away from the line should not be ignored) and were done by the bounce of a ball and a break away against the run of play. Saints are nothing to fear.

Struggled to cope with the ruck speed. The played fast with the ball and pedestrian without it, but we let them. When we could generate some ruck speed we looked dangerous, but they controlled it well.

The notable tactic to run on the last is a strange one, caught out a couple of times for turnovers and it didn’t really offer much of a threat. Think we may have been better raining down on Coote all night, dull as it may be to watch.

Missed Cooper’s offloads too.

All told, not quite good enough. Take the first choice halfbacks from a team and you should beat them. More to come though, just need to find a way out of the slow grind, I think going wide early is our best chance of that. There was a few occasions where Widdop and Currie looked dangerous.

Likely face off with Mr Powell in play off week 1…

You want Widdop gone. Yes, it's an opinion but a ludicrous one nonetheless. Less of the insults he says as he lays into the players haha.

A 19 and 20 year old outplayed our 2 marquee half backs with absolute ease.

I love our fans. Every year “the top team are nothing to fear.
“

We say it every year to try and make ourselves feel better because we are so woefully behind the big teams. As is evident by the amount of times we have won superleague. If it makes you feel better saying saints are nothing to fear because you feel inadequate that’s fine, but if you really think our team is good enough to win SL I don’t know what to say.

Bit early to call it yet. We will probably finish 3rd but 6th could be any one of four teams, possibly five as it's possible Wigan may not win another this year.

We spent half the game in our own 30 because of their line speed and spoiling. Not hard to play well when they start sets in our half and that is down to forwards before all else. Williams and Widdop were very good. And I'm done fearing Saints, that stopped a good few years ago when I realised they haven't beat us in a knockout game since 2010 or something silly. Our problem is falling to teams who we would handily beat if we didn't decide to implode against the likes of Cas and Huddersfield.

I never said Lineham makes me happy (although he has done more than enough generally to earn some respect that you seem to lack for him), and Widdop did not go missing, you would do well to watch it again if you believe that tripe.
