Some players are not playing for the coach. Do you advocate bowing to player pressure?
Powell does not help himself by continuing to pick them though.
Within these two sentences lies the problem. You cannot change the culture of a club without having a clear an honest policy of shirts on merit, and any player brought in must improve the squad. Powell cannot be the answer if were questioning his methodology 15 rounds into his tenure.

Fair enough.
It was clear Price wasnt the answer at the end of 2019, still stuck with him for 2 more years though.
The fact that Holmes and Currie have not been dropped after more than half a season of continuous woeful performances is the main gripe I have with Powell. It’s utter madness either or both of them have not played in the reserves for at least one week.
If he’s not liking Longstaff (bizarre) then genuinely J Clark and J Hughes (when fit) offer more than Currie and Holmes presently….that’s how bad they’ve been.
I agree with you mostly, I do think it's the players who have downed tools BUT Powell keeps picking them! He doesn't have to, he could pick players who want to be at the club like Riley Dean and Ellis longstaff. I think he may have alienated the whole squad, they really don't seem to care at all. There are a few who should have played their last games for the club after this recent rubbish.
My lad wants to go to his first game this year, absolutely no chance I want his first experience of the wire to be an awful performance and a toxic crowd atmosphere.
Get him hooked on Saints and do him a massive favour
