When things go wrong, as they sometimes will. When the road you're trudging seems all up hill, When the funds are low, and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with the twists and turns, AS everyone of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out: Don't give up through the pace seems slow. You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far; So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit, It's when things seem worse, that you must not quit. NOW THE WIRE!
I read today that Sam Thaiday is not being offered another contract by Wayne Bennett. He's always come across as a tough player and certainly would bring a lot of experience with him, nice fella as well whenever I've seen him interviewed. At 32 not overly aged we could do worse for a few years.
JP I have come to the conclusion that we should assume that any foreign import will take a year to settle in (any less is a bonus) and therefore age is crucial.
Joe Philbin has been very good this year,he could be outstanding next year & with age on his side. Mike Cooper may be much improved next year after his year to settle in.
Snigger...really! he is as average as they come. Great signing...you need to take more water with it chin.
Jamie Peacock was a great signing.
I'm afraid I don't agree. Before he 'fell out' over contract negotiations or whatever it was he was terrific, sometimes better than Daryl Clark for spells. If he rediscovers that form we will miss him.
