You need a licence for alcohol to be consumed on things like coaches. Limos need special licences. I'm not gonna lie though I very much doubt the police would bat an eyelid as long as the driver doesnt drink too ha

You would be surprised I have seen coaches being stopped and everyone being checked and having beer removed.

When they brought in this law, it was reported that the Old Bill were quite keen on enforcing it.
Now a few years have gone by, they couldn't give a stuff
They know it goes on, they just ignore it. They'd have a field day on Wembley days etc

It's a bit like the pubs with the dodgy satellite dishes, that show Prem games on a Saturday afternoon
They were a bit keen a decade ago, and might have "busted" a few places, but they don't bother now. If I know where a few of these pubs are in Wire land, I'm damned sure the Old Bill, do too.

Well considering I was pointing out a technicality but showing no opinion on it other than that I cant see police bothering I dont get why you make that assumption?

Also I was no where near a prefect. I dont think the prefects at our school were like what your image of one is though mind.

No, it is an offence for anyone to consume alcohol on a Public Service Vehicle, a conviction carries a maximum fine of £1000.

Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol Etc), Act, 1985 as amended by the Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol Etc.) Act, 1992 (c.57), which specifically prohibits the carrying or consuming of alcohol on coaches travelling to or from designated sporting events.

It is also an offence under the above legislation for a person carried on a public service vehicle travelling to or from a designated sporting event to be in possession of intoxicating liquor and/or to be drunk. Drivers and Company officials may search any bag, holdall or carrier to satisfy themselves that no intoxicating liquor is being carried.

Act, 1992 (c.57). Such passenger will be refused travel and no refund will be made.

Yed. I'll look up the legislation in the next couple of days. It was all brought in with the Sports Grounds Act. Ignore the PSV stuff for now, it's all about travelling to 'designated sports grounds,' which are invariably Premier League Football grounds.
