I'm assured he can snort a line of coke the size of a Mecca dauber though.

I wasn't the one questioning fans' loyalty and worth. If Saville Row wants to insult and dismiss several people dur to their opinion that Peacock shouldn't be an automatic in the England team, it was his responsibility to clarify his position. My opinion has very little to do with it. I think all fans are entitled to their opinion and wouldn't call out other fans for their opnion on certain players.

I hope I have clarified that rather simple problem for you, Teeside and I'm rther disappointed in you, as you are usually quite spot on.

JD. You haven't clarified anything. Your last post was just a ramble and I suspect you may just have had a bit too much sauce.

Hull University.
Maybe I should go back to Uni with some of my angry posts this week. Funnily enough when I was at Poly I was usually too drunk to be angry.

I don't drink too much anymore, I'm afraid. But, okay, I'll try and simplify it (as I haven't a great opinion on the matter). Saville Row has been on a petulant crusade on this board to try and put him/herself across as a super fan because he/she remembers how good Moz and, most laughably, Peacock used to be and, because of that, other fans, who question the selection of Peacock and Moz in the England team, are somehow lesser fans. However, Savile Row refuses to support the claim and clarify who is playing better (or worse) than the two aforementioned props. I was meerly questioning whether he/she believed that Peacock and Morley were the best two British props available for selection and to support that claim as simply as possible. As he/she refused to answer and therefore, could not follow through on the assertion and remain true to their opinion, he/she was displaying some cowardice.

I'm certainly not angry at Saville Row, don't worry. In fact, it is quite the opposite. I simply find their position to be laughable. Your reference to my post in reply to fatbelly was just that, me replying to someone who had made a decision and could support it coherently. When Saville Row decides to support his/her claim and place Moz and Peacock above the likes of Graham and Burgess and, to an extent, Hill and Mossop, I will reply to their post as I would anyone else.

I hope that is clear enough for you, it really is quite simple, and I hope this will no longer be a sticking point.

I wish. I am now seeking employment for a bit. If that fails I'll be taking your tax money and spending it on Es and Whizz, like the other dolies.

My point was, do you understand the point of sport ? In Rugby League's case, it's played by regular blokes, in the main young men with good values and attitudes who turn out and put their bodies on the line, week in week out for your entertainment, for a wage that is fairly basic in terms of sport, it's a short career, and like all of us, they are vulnerable to criticism particularly when unjustified. And I know some of them read this forum.
So if you are a true fan, then people on here should be mindful of the way they comment. Some of the comments are pretty nasty, considering they are of our sporting hero's and our team.
I know a forum is a place where you can anonymously saying anything you wish without fear of a punch in the gob, but at least excersise some restraint in the way you write.
By the way, not cowardice, just a weekend without a computer, absolute bliss !

I can understand that players are human (and I voiced my displeasure at the booing of Trent in the early games) but the question still remains, do you think Moz and Peacock are the best available players to choose? If you do, you are certainly entitled to that opinion; it is, however, an extremly unconventional viewpoint. But isn't that the spirit of the messageboard though?

I find the old addage that 'there's no sentimentality in sport' a little cliched. However, Peacock has been quite poor this year (as have many of the other 5 Leeds players chosen for the exiles game). Surely there should be concern when players like Hill and Mossop can't get in at prop and players like Bailey and Peacock are chosen ahead of them?

Furthermore, I am sure that many of the people voicing concern (people like Fatbelly) aren't aiming to insult or harrass players and I'm sure only a small majority would/will boo Peacock when he leads the team out next week. In fact, it is just that many people are uncomfortable with his (and other) selection(s) and are wary of the world cup being next year, with Peacock not looking good enough at the moment.

Sorry Jamie if you're reading this but you probably know it already.

The questioning, by true English fans, of the team selection, and the opinion that players should be chosen on form, is certainly not grounds for you to question the quality of a fan. The old example of Myler in the CC will always be brought up because it clearly made him a better player. Many believe that Peacock is way out of form, and some think he should retire before he goes on to far. I, personally, if forced to make a decision, think he should have been dropped for the Exiles matches. However, there is nothing wrong with voicing that concern on the messageboards and I think many may even voice it in public. Admitedly, the people saying these things aren't Tony Smith but polite discussion sourrounding the subject shouldn't destroy a players confidence, in my opinion.

Any way, back to the point, are Moz and PEacock the first two props on your personal team sheet?

Go on then Ill put you out of you misery, although I wasnt giving any opinion about the selection of one or the other. My point was the way in which the discussion is conducted and its impact on the individual players who might read the forum as i know they do and the attitude to the players on a Wolves board from Wolves fans was a tad too critical and frankly completely lacking in respect of a Wolves great.
At the moment for reasons of recent injury or form both of those two guys shouldnt be selected and of course looking ahead that would be the sensible approach. But Im sure Adrian and Jamie would be the first to say the same.
