Ive been told by 2 separate people both of whom have links to the club that Roy is one of the highest paid players in SL.

What a load of poop, Ben Harrison says he isn't even the highest paid player at warrington. He didn't get offered a new contract at South Sydney and the clubs interested in him in the nrl offered him less then half of what he was on at souths. That's comes directly from Russell Crowe in an interview. Yeah he had a good season in his last year at souths but even then he was far past his best. If we paid over the odds for him it shows how stupid the club is. And no prop in super league would be the highest paid player unless koukash signed sonny bill or burgess. What a load of BS.

Im not sure how much people really know about players salaries.. But a friend of mine from another club told me that the top earners at warrington are

1. Monaghan
2. Asotasi
3. Hill
4. Myler
5. Westwood

If you're having a good rebuild, you have to lose a few of those.... 2 gone already and Monaghan with one foot out the door (if you believe the rumours)

Joel Monaghan, Gaz O'Brien, Roy Asotasi releases confirmed by club

Big loose and a right centre surely the priorities now? Grix, Monas & GOB leaving should leave a good chunk of cap space for two new players..

Are we not missing something here? In the cases of Joel and GOB, it has been the clubs decision to release them with a year left on their contracts. Unless they were prepared to walk away from those contracts then presumably we've had to reach settlements with them.

I think we certainly need additional recruitment as you suggest but wonder what's left in the pot. If we don't buy anyone else our right centre options would be Evans, Wheeler and King. I suppose if we got a third of a season each out of the first 2 that would give King a few games to bring him on..........
