King not having the best for Wigan so far. It'll be interesting to see how he develops under Wane and Peet, as he's still contracted to us. If they get him playing to a consistently high standard (at least as good as he was here until his contract extension) then we could bring him back in alongside Wrench next year. If not, I'm not sure what we do with him? He's on a fair whack so we'd have to try and get something out of him for the final two years of his contract.
KR deserved it. Thought they were going to implode when Wign scored near the end. A bit like Salford - could spring a few surprises.
Wigan looked a little light in the forwards and didn't make as many meters as I thought they would. Kicking cost them I think. That and the Abdull drop goal before half time were pivotal in the end result.
George King had a great game, not so Toby.
Great atmosphere - same as at Warrington and Leigh. Good start to the seaaon for SL.

I'd rate the chances of Toby ever playing for us again as zero unless Powell moves on.
Wigan fans seemed pretty pleased to have got King and Wardle off us but I imagine they are looking across rather enviously at Vaughan after that. Their pack looks light to me.

It's no secret that Wigan were after Vaughan the moment he lit his barbecue last year. I think they put most of their eggs in the Bevan French basket though, and I'm not sure you need both a Field and a French in your backline. Especially as Wigan seem to roll some good young backs off their production line.
