I dont like to get into personal insults but to say the fans who dont like booing are the ones that don't go to away games is ridiculus.

Some of the worst treatment of the players I have witnessed has always been at away games. Some of our fans think that because they have hopped on a plane to the south of france, Jumped on a bus to London or drove down the M62 to Salford means that they have a devine right to expect / deserve a performance in line with the effort and money they have outlayed to attend the match.

The distance travelled is also proportionate to the quantity of booze consumed and this also seems to be relative to the volume of abuse the players take if they dont perform.

I am going to suggest something equally ridiculus in that I would suggest the majority of the people who Boo have not played Rugby League and dont know what it is like to cross that line.

Because there are a number of clubs at full cap now If a player like Thurston were to fancy a stint in Super League in the future and several clubs were in for him If I was him I would go to somebody like Huddersfield as the fans behaviour would come into the equation. If there was equal money on the table I wouldnt come to the HJ after hearing about the abuse that has been dished out. I have heard worse abuse to our own players recently than to opposition players over the years and that is sad. Like I have said, the more clubs that have full cap and therefore equal spending power the more damage our fans will do with behaviour like this.

Where did I say we should clap and cheer?

Some of the abuse I have heard dished out to the players is disgracefull.

i forgot one other factor is the abuse is also relative to how many wheelbarrows it takes for a player to get his wages home in. I am sure there is a mathmatical equation for the abuse our fans dish out.

Abuse = Manner of defeat squared x (Players wages / Supporters cost) x Units of alcohol consumed.

Why not just stay at home?

Think you being unfair here, 2 points.

1. Fans don't deliberately go to games to boo, they start every game clapping there team out and cheering them on until the standard of play becomes unacceptable.
2. Fans also don't go to away games expecting to be beaten by 52 points, especially when you team is made up of so-called world class players. When this starts to happen fans obviously get frustrated and angry and choose to vent there anger in the only way possible.

The fact that it cost so much and is so far to travel, gives the fans the right to voice there opinions, it's been said many many times that Rugby League fans in general don't expect there team to win every game but we would like some commitment, passion and effort at least, and we got none.

Thank god there is no relegation, I would have hated to see Wire relegated

Why do you say Harlequins are mediocre? Is it really that hard to say they just might not be a bad side?

I can understand the booing. It's your right to let the players know what you think. They weren't deserving of applause judging by the score.

I believe it was something he said in one of the RL papers, and the commentators during the World Cup certainly repeated a couple of times.
