Like an old fashioned cup match without the mud. It had everything but most of all it had drama, that is what sport is all about. Players repeatedly put their bodies on the line. Yes Ratchford made mistakes but how any Wire supporter could concentrate on castigating one of our players tonight is beyond me.

No doubt we’ll lose to Wigan in the final but tonight let’s just enjoy the champagne moments of Eddie’s “Whoo-ooh!� when he thought Richardson’s drop goal had won it for Saints, only surpassed by the farewell memory of Barba’s attempt to try and stop Lineham’s last try

Amazing tonight, one of those nights where I just always thought saints were going to run away with it but our defence was absolutely superb all match. They broke the line but the last man managed to cling on a couple of times, In other games against stains they would have been 6 points. I thought hicks was a disgrace once we took the lead in the second half, it's almost as though it wasnt part of the script for wire to be in front at any point tonight.

Made up to be going to OT again, hoping for a different outcome this time obviously. It's so nice to beat saints in the last 10 minutes rather than the other way around.

Linehams second try. Thats up there with waterhouse going over against these lovers.

Im made up for Tommy, hes been as good as charnley this year and got half the plaudits. He needs more chanting and support.

Wow awesome defensive performance I did not see that result coming. ... ive been critical of our half backs all season. ..but 6 chipping over the top for 7 on the second tackle. ..where's that come from ????
But Ben Barba. ..Deary me...surely he has just handed the man of steel award to John Bateman. .

Just wanted to say "well done Wire" on being first to the final. Totally deserved winners of an excellent match!

P. s. If Barba wins MOS it will be an insult to Steve Prescott's memory. The worst defender Superleague has seen since the post injury Luke Walsh.

When Ratchford kicked the kick off out on the full and Saints took a quick tap Saints Hemmings said; “a quick tap? surely we should have gone for touch deep in their 20m? PLEASE! Come on!�
