I'd be surprised if Wrench is in next years plans. He was picked on the wing last week for the Reserves with Darbyshire & Miniken in the centres. If he was in line to play first team centre it would be a strange thing to do.

I'm struggling to remember a game wrench played for the first team where he was poor. Idiotic decision if we get rid of him. Saints will probably be sniffing around him.

Knowing us we.d keep matautia despite us getting king back(jeez)and we're after an Aussie centre and get rid of wrench to Wigan or saints...

Hull were well beaten by Wire. Our pack floored them and Williams and Dufty shined.
I have to give credit to Richard Marshall. There is steel is in our defence that has been missing for a long time.

Dwyer might be ok for the odd run, but the rest of his game is shocking.

Against you, whilst he made good metres he also missed 8 tackles and made 3 errors, this doesn't include he poor passes and wrong selection, lost count of the times he has gone the wrong way and gone himself.

Against Wigan he missed 10 tackle, 4 errors and 4 penalties against him.

The negative he brings are far out weighing his positives, if you have managed to not sign him, you have dodged a bullett, can't see which SL club would sign him, maybe Fev if they come up?

On the game, we can too many forwards out and your forwards laid a good platform for the likes of Duffty and Williams. Be intresting if Powell was still in charge would you have beaten us?

It could be that Christmas is their most stressful time of the year, it's not necessarily great for everyone. I personally, am now thinking of Newbury fruits and those orange and lemon slices that come in a flat round container. Also, the festive season is not the same without a Boxing day, and New Years day game against Widnes and Wigan.

It’s a tough one with centres these days. It’s just a bit of a lost art. Centres these days just seem need to run straight lines, be able to do basic catch and pass, be solid defenders and that’s pretty much it. If you’re good at chasing kicks it’s a bonus.

The days of Lyon, Gidley, Gleeson, Gasnier etc who could actually CREATE the space seem to be behind us. It’s a byproduct of the insistence on playing percentages, in my opinion. Same with a lack of genuine creativity from halfbacks. We just rely on ruck speed to create space.

Wrench (right now, but still young with lots of potential) and Ratchford don’t really fit in to that mood of being strong line runners and efficient defenders. So Burgess might be looking at 2 new centres, but that would mean moving King on to free up some money to balance the books. King, in a non-competitive field, is still in the top 4 or 5 centres in the league, but is not worth the money we committed to him.
