No he didn't. Hohaia's career was ended by multiple blows and concussions over the length of his career of which Flower's was merely the last in a long line. The symptoms Hohaia had cannot be caused by a single blow as it is the result of tens, even hundreds, of small traumas over a sustained period. There's a very good paper prepared for the NFL available on this very subject if you're interested.

Unless you think Cooper's injury was caused by hundreds of smaller 'hip drop' tackles during his career, then they are very different animals Indeed.

Just read that Knowles could use the international game and a reserve game as part of his ban so in reality he only serves a game ban..if this is the case then should we use a reserve game for Philbin and dudson..anyone heard or read the same

Would not have thought that was allowed. Was thinking about it with McGuire’s ban could we have not used reserve fixtures. Also can’t see why Knowles should be selected for international duty while he is serving a ban.

Shirley any ban should relate to the competition that the offence was committed? If not everyone would be hastily arranging Get Out of Jail Free card games for the reserves in lieu of training
