has anybody got any recommendations for places to park on Friday night?

I quite like parking up at Marbury Country Park on a Friday evening.

i would go for street parking, as long as your not too late normally plenty available

Yeah, make sure you turn up six hours before KO though.

I have parked on side streets for as long as I have been going and never had any damage to my car.

Believe me I have a new car and if I didn't think it would be safe it wouldn't go anywhere near those side streets but I don't have any qualms about parking there.
