O/T traffic wardens out last sunday : Fri Mar 13, 2009 1:10 pm  

thoughts please on getting parking tickets on a sunday. seen 2 wardens booking cars near hire station. thought they didnt work sundays. does this apply to all the towns streets or just those around the stadium. not on about residential areas, just some of the town side streets. me I think its a bit harsh on a sunday, will they be working on none match days I didnt get ticket wife dropped us of, did anyone else get a ticket apart from the couple of cars I seen. could have been rhinos cars. thoughts please. do u know any one who got booked

I got a ticket outside HSS last season.

Parking Services enforcement is carried out seven days a week including evenings. Ten beats cover the borough from Monday to Saturday. At least two Civil Enforcement Officers are on duty every evening and also on Sundays throughout the borough

It's (very) simple, don't park anywhere you shouldn't.
If you know you shouldn't park there but do because you don't think you'll caught...well can't complain when you get caught, so not particulary harsh.

Our road is residential only on match days. The council go to great lengths to make us renew our parking permits every year yet we have never had a traffic warden down despite the road being full of non-permit cars every game! (Not going say which road though! )

Tough. Don't park where you shouldn't. It's not as if there aren't free places to park in Warrington on a Sunday.
