Interesting article on SportingLife.com about contract discussions with our older players - in particular with Moz, Hodgson, Higham, Solomona and Briers. I wouldn't be at all disappointed if all got short term deals as our youngsters are really coming through now so another couple of years alongside these guys will do them the power of good - Briers working with O'Brien, Hodgson with Ratchford/Riley, even Moz with Hill/Cooper etc. Link: http://www.sportinglife.com/rugbyleague ... ml&BID=480 It also says that we can expect a few names back next week for Widnes - Waterhouse, Briers, Joel, Moz. Nothing mentioned about Bridge or M.Monaghan though. Anybody know the latest?

Thanks for posting the link.

Reading the various posts, it seems that Moz picked up a back strain after his problem with his neck, otherwise he may have played at Perpignan. So he is expected to play against Widnes. Rhys Evans played for the u20's at Wakefield after a long standing foot injury. I assume he is a possibility for Widnes as well. Monas has allegedly indicated he will be back in two weeks, so perhaps the HKR match ?. Solo is back training and could be back early next month and Myler has had a hernia operation which still leaves him out for a few more weeks yet.

I suspect Waterhouse/Briers/Monas jr may well have some 'bumps and bruises' but in reality are probably being rested.

I, personally wouldn't take up the option of renewing Higham's contract. Dwyer looks like a star of the future, there looks to be so much potential in him. He hasn't looked out of place at all.

Club to annoucnce that Briers and Morley signed new 1 year extentions.

Thats funny, on sportinglife.com Tony is quoted as saying that Morley is ready and set to play this coming weekend.
