It seems our great games is now suffering at the hands of 2 tv companies. Sky have decided that they want to show Salford v Wakefield on Saturday at 6 15 pm (it was originally a Friday game) but unfortunately Sale Sharks have moved into the City stadium & ESPN are showing their game at the same time. Salford have had to move their match to Leigh ...what a farce !

I was suprised to hear on the radio that Sale get first choice, do they now own the ground?

I think both clubs are claiming 'primacy of tenure' but based on the days of the weekend they normally play.

Sale were due to play on Saturday and the TV was booked. Then late in the day Sky asked for Salford to change their date of play as they wanted to screen it. So Sky caused the problem and from what I hear Salford will have to do a lot of work moving advertising boards to Leigh etc. But at the end of the day Sky are the SL clubs paymaster - we get over £1.1 million each per year.

I know when i phoned for parking tickets for the semi off Salford RLFC i was told i would need to phone the stadium which was a seperate company...maybe the stadium charges a rent to whichever club is playing on any particular week. Good tax dodge.

Got to feel sorry for the fans, but can you imagine this happening to any other club that Salford.

Sale do not OWN the stadium. They and Salford our now equal tennants. Sale just have more money. (and Salford aint going to do anything to upset Sale)

Small clubs that don't own their own ground shouldn't be allowed in the big boys league.

I think the ONLY Super League teams who OWN their own ground are:

Warrington
St. Helens
Hull KR
Castleford
Wakefield
Leeds

Not sure about Widnes and Catalans

catalans is council owned facility.

wakefield's is owned by the bank of ireland.
