So that answered the question can Joel score tries when he hasn't got Briers putting easy kicks for him to pick up.

Annoys me when other fans say all his tries are run-in's. He's scored some brilliant tries this year!

Great stuff...... lets put Russell on the wing though so he can scoot off with the ball.

Not the best winger we've ever had, but along with (the twilight years I saw of him) John Bevan, the best finisher I've seen in P&B

Would you rather have a winger like Monaghan thats not express pace but scores tries, or a winger with genuine pace that can't tackle but can bring the crowd to its feet?

Depends on how good defensively his inside 3/4 and backrower is really...but I'd much prefer flair over care.

a few people have said this and i thought it was a joke at first. Why would he get more chance to scoot from the wing? At fullback he can jump in anywhere to scoot regardless of field position, from wing he can only scoot from his wing area or we would be moaning about him never being on his wing if the ball was thrown out from his play the ball?

Russell has had a brilliant debut season, the scary thing is he still has loads of improvement in him yet. He would be wasted on the wing.

Do we still finish fifth in the league and win nothing with either winger.....?

but that said its another tremendous effort from Joel....he'll still make my all time 17, pace or not.

This myth is new to me. He didn't have Briers in the NRL and his try scoring record was pretty good there.
