I suppose it could since the fortunes of the club have deteriorated on Smith's watch with little or no apparent intervention by the club board or management. Most of us have watched the club in lean times over the years but this season's collapse seems have been tolerated from on high .
I notice that in today's WG all of the stories coming out of the club are accredited to Lee Briers.There is no reference to Tony Smith or Agar in any of them. So, what can we make from that?

Bad news for some, I've just read in league express that he as had offers from NRL but still as a year here and is happy. Guess I would be happy stealing a wage.

I surmise that he knows that the Wire hierarchy want him out, & he is hanging-on for an offer by Warrington to buy his contract-out.
