Whats the Rule? : Sun Jun 16, 2019 1:38 pm
I mailed the RFL on this subject but got no reply so I hope someone knows the answer.....How many 'doctors, trainers, physios, water carriers are allowed on the field when the ball is in play?
I am getting increasingly frustrated by our side over the large number of non playing staff on the field, and the amount of time they spend on it after they have performed their specific duty.
I got hacked off with Wigan doing this last year.
I think we've taken it to at least that level.
In more than one case it was clearly coaching. (Andrew Henderson take a bow, along with 2 of the other water carriers...)
Often the play is going on and they 're only 5-10 meters behind the line.
Do players really need water 5 minutes into a game?
The coaches have all week to work with the players so if the tactics are wrong the onus should be on the players to self manage or react to the coaches shouting from the side.
I simply can't stand this 'on-the-field' coaching.
