I think what does give rise to a ball carriers sometimes accidental shoulder contact with defenders is the need to protect the ball . Running straight with the ball in one or two hands would make a one on one steal almost inevitable.

This was a "biggy" for the future of our game. If the man carrying a ball cannot drop his shoulder or hold his non-ball carrying arm out or hand off ... the game as we know it is doomed.

Genuine question - how does boxing cope with "duty of care" towards concussion? The boxing authorities might be able to advise the RFL on guidelines and thus avoid the emasculation of our sport. Seriously if Sita's run (ie hard and direct) becomes outlawed we may as well give up the game.

You are allowed to use your shoulder as a tackler though you muppet. you just have to make an attempt to tackle by using your arms. doesn't mean you can't stick your soulder in. You've stuck a young lad in the middle of the pack, facing up against some of the hardest runners in the game. if he chooses to stand upright and try to wrap him up at the top thats his own stupid fault.

You're taught from no age to bend your knees and your back, eye up the runners hips and hit them in an upward motion. Daryl Clark and Danny Houghton are perfect examples. cant penalise runners because young kids arent physically or technically up to scratch when they play with the big boys.

They just can't handle the banter after a loss like that, the Wire fans were last month critical of the player and quite a few mentioned he needed to step up.
