Yes, you are Exactly right!!!

Both pretty much the same incident - one gets 10 minutes punishment, the other gets 160 minutes!!

Jon Wilkin's view on "grapple tackle" was illuminating recently. When tackled players get placed into certain grapple positions many pretend to be hurt as they know they can get a penalty. You get up feeling your neck ... and hey ho you get a penalty. Wilkin was very clear that a large percentage of players are simply milking a penalty. For a current player to be so honest was unusual.

I've seen one particular player for Wire do it on many occasions. A little shake of the head and a miracle ... he gets up an plays a blinder.

The RFL have improved this recently. It used to be in televised games that if a player stayed down and replays showed that there was any contact with the head (even if the contact was minimal and resulted in no injury), the ref would give a penalty. This led to many players feigning injury to gain the penalty if they knew their had been head contact (Jake Connor was especially annoying in this regard), something no one wants in RL.

That rule was changed so that the only way it can be reviewed onfield is if it was red or yellow card worthy - which I think is fair enough. This has reduced the amount of players staying down ‘injured’.

Honest yes, but he's also a massive hypocrite since he's one of the players that used to do that all the time, he was also one of the snidiest niggly players on the field, lest we forget he was the person that ended ben evans career at warrington, by rupturing his hamstring.

oh and look at this news report and response from the then sintellins coach.

It appears that he'd like some sort of career in TV/Radio. His surprising honesty may help ... of course.

I would think these athletes in their prime would be in just as much danger playing with their young children on the rug or settee & lifting them on & off shoulders to play gee gees.
