Rather than the plot of an Agatha Christie novel, it could simply be that we have three HB's plus Riley Dean, so the club are getting reimbursed for Brown's salary. Not that I know, I hasten to add.

Whilst Kevin brown has done OK for us there hasn't been a time since sandow walked out where I wouldn't have rather had matty Smith than Kevin brown.

I hope he finishes his career on his own terms I really do and I would rather have had brown this season than him sit it out injured but matty Smith would have been a better option for us all along IMO.

Have you seen Smith playing for Catalans this season? By the way, you can have Reynolds on loan as a swap!!!

Not really, has anyone? I hope brown goes well for you. Is suspect that there is a cap involvement in this deal but the fact remains when sandow went i
would have rather we signed Smith. Brown just wasn't what we needed. Maybe Smith would have been poor for us (and will be whilst we have him), but he has been a good half back over the years.

If the rules are the same as they used to be, Warrington couldn't even register Kevin Brown without his whole salary for the year counting on the cap. You got a dispensation on the basis that he was out for the year and wouldn't be registered, or his registration wouldn't count. That with the signing of Matty Smith and any contract changes through the year will be why Brown has been allowed to leave. You won't be able to register him now without taking a huge hit on the salary cap.

The deadline for signings for Super League was Friday just gone and Widdop played for St George on Saturday, so he can't join this season now. Nor can Ashton from Swinton who played for them on Sunday.

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

It’s a “live” salary cap now isn’t it?
Nice to see you are taking an interest though.

There was a mild sense of panic when you started shedding players, I did fear Widdop was coming to save your season.
