What makes me laugh about that is that even in our 64 years since winning the 1955 Grand Final at Maine Road we’ve won a hell of a lot more than Saints did in their first 80 years as a club, by the time Broughton Rangers folded in the 1950s they’d been more successful than Saints. Saints were absolute nobodies for eight decades.
So from 1895 when rugby league was founded up to 1975....80 years you asscertain that wire won a "hell of a lot more than saints".....wrong. between 1895 and 1975 saints won 7 championships (1930,53,59,66,70,71 and 75) to warringtons measly 3 , and its still 3 for wire but its now 13 for saints.......mind the gap
Ah, I see what you did there... included non-major trophies in your ‘success’ classification system. Did you pull that one from somebody’s WIKI entry by chance?
If you want to include 2nd division titles like Saints possess, fine - we can’t lay claim to that one.
If you’re looking at a classification system weighted around the two major trophies and finishing position which is all anyone cares about, then you’re well behind Wigan.
Under that objectively viewed premise, Warrington are 4th. Maybe one day we’ll get the chance at the second division.
No just included league championships

I've said this many times before. When I started watching us, in the last months of the 70's, the was NO rivalry. Zilch. This continued throughout the 80's. The attendances for these games prove it. Nowhere near the amounts we got (or took to) Wigan, Widnes and Leigh. The "rivalry" started after Stains started their winning run against us, and Eddie Hemmings invented a non existant hoodoo. It wasn't a hoodoo, they were just much better than us, at the time. That's sport. The new "rivalry" took a new twist, when Wigan's form plummeted around 2005ish, and they needed a new foe. We fitted the bill. Oh how they enjoyed patting us on the head, while they picked up trophy after trophy.
Now, the worm has turned, and they're serial bokklers. Only 1 BIG trophy in 20odd attempts (and that, only because they struggled to get past 12 men, for 79 mins) , since 2008, and we like piddling on their chips in crucial matches, while "twerps" like LMS celebrate like they've got a ticket to The Last Supper, after winning a league game in June.

Ahhh, the ULTIMATE desperation tactic, listing a roll of honour, when the the majority of fan's parents weren't even born. Willy measuring at its worst.

They don't have a Div2 title...they could only managed 2nd spot in promotion.

No just correcting a warrington wally who stated "saints won nothing in the first 80 years"

Let em stew. They're nowt.
Until Saints started to win stuff in the 1950s the big North West rivalry was Wire and Wigan.
So what did warrington win prior to 1895 when we were all playing a different game, its a bit like bradford city fc claiming they have been champions as they were originally a rugby league club called manningham who were the first rugby league champions before switching to football , so lets just stick to rugby league honours

Saints won there first championship in 1930........18 years before warrington won there first in 1948.......if youre gonna talk crap at least have the stats to back it up, a possible reason for the wigan-wire rivalry might have been that up until the late 1930's there was 2 top flight clubs in st.helens......saints and st.helens recs who where basically the pilkington works team and became pilkington recs after folding, so it was only natural they were saints local rivals. Since recs went bust the saints-wigan rivalry really took off and warrington were dismissed by both clubs as a minor irritant which they remain to this day
