St. Helens v Catalans St Helens by 28 Huddesfield v Leeds Leeds by 1
Welcome back, although no one predicted the correct margins it seemed that the majority thought that there were a couple of 'bankers' playing this weekend going for a Saints/ Leeds double.

On reflection I don't know what I thought about Saturday's performance, it was a strange game but then again it probably wasn't given the circumstances and nature of the other results, the disjointed preparation for a first run out, rule tweaks, the 'Albuquerque' heat and KR being coached by their very own Heisenberg freed from the shackles of potential relegation.
Sure it lacked a bit of quality particularly in the first half but overall I was grateful to see a return and two points.
Talking of points, our biggest 'taker' this week was Gaz3376 with 14 the rest of us are still finding our feet as follows,

They say that a week is a long time in politics and the same can be said of the Prediction Competition with a reversal of fortunes for CW8 who came out on top mainly thanks to correctly plumping for Wigan by 18.Unless you are Wigan royalty the rest of us were obviously and 'correctly' hoping for a smaller margin so didn't fare as well as follows

A bit closer than last week but the score was never in doubt was it despite Catalans 'putting their cue in the rack' and some late points from the rhubarb munchers. Everyone picked the winners this week (is it me or is it becoming increasingly easier to dislike Catalans) but prediction points were all about timing with King Ross 11, karetaker, Wanderer and Uncle Rico all correctly plumping for 6 minutes. The rest of you were obviously using Hilda Baker's watch so were off with their timing as follows

f) Wigan v Castleford Wigan by 8 Leeds v Salford Leeds by 38 Hull KR v St Helens St Helens by 14 Huddersfield v Hull FC Hull FC by 19
What's not to like? A win that makes up for that early season loss in the reverse fixture, sees us nilling an admittedly under strength opponent, with Austin looking something like in a game where both teams threw the ball about and a win that keeps us up there hanging onto Wigan's coat tails near the top of the table
Who profited most I hear you ask......it was Wire Weaver with an unlucky for everyone else 13 points the rest of us were bamboozled by a combination of Salford's poor showing Hull FC's continued roller-coasting and the length of time it took for either team to to score a try. ah well there's always next week???

Must try harder, but in my defence I never tip pies to win, they could be playing against an under 8 s team and I will tip or hope the 7 year olds to win also I always score maximum points when guessing the attendance and that’s been taken away lol
As you know your unswerving resolve in not backing Wigan is costing you predictions points unfortunately. Let's hope that you get get a bit of good fortune soon
