I think that's probably too simplistic of a view, Brand is a young player, yet to make his SL debut and has had very little game time so far this season - the reserves getting cancelled the past few weeks mean he's played two games (I think), a short spell vs Salford in the friendly and a reserves game against Newcastle, which I'm sure the competition standard for that game would have been below Championship level. He's not had the best preparation so far to make his debut.

That said I hope he plays above Mamo, it's always good seeing a young player make their debut and by all accounts Mamo wasn't great vs Wakey.

Only the management know whether he's ready for a game at this level against a Leeds team who seem to be playing pretty well, he may well go with the tried and tested Mamo option though.

My guess is that he will play Mamo. Last week was very unconvincing so I think he will play it safe. As Alffi points out, Brand has not had much game time. The other interesting one is whether he will have Akaoula on the bench or Louis Johnson. I am going to guess he will give Johnson another run.

But why is playing Mamo playing it safe when a lot of people would prefer someone else in that spot. Can’t be that safe then can it, I see the reasoning behind not giving Brand a go yet but Ashton has done ok with his chances I say let Brand see if he can do the same.

What i would like to see is Price have a go at putting Walker on alongside Clark for a spell instead of just giving Walker 15 minutes at the end instead of Clark.

I think quite a few people would like to see him play, but he has not had a competitive game for 4 weeks so I suspect it is unlikely we will see him.

I used to look forward to squad announcement day, but with the 21-man squad system this year, it's no longer very exciting. I understand the reasoning behind having it, but basically it's just a list of whoever is fit and available.

I think our team needs some consistency before looking towards any calculation with risk.
Our prop depth is probably the shallowest in SL.
Let’s get 3 or 4 wins in then play with some youth.
A defeat at Leeds will put Price under intense pressure, if it wasn’t bad enough losing at Wakey.

Having Hill back should make a big difference, we looked decidedly lightweight last week.

I'm not sure why Price keeps playing Walker and Davis, play one or the other and put another big lad on the bench. Same with Johnson and Burrell - it's one or t'other
