Well how do you explain the doctor who first warned about it but was gagged by the Chinese authorities who was aged 34 and had no known health issues?

Me and the mrs are going next week absolutely no chance of us not going unless they actually ban you from flying there which is highly unlikely

People need to get a grip, between coronavirus, climate change, terrorist threats, stabbings muggings and murders on our streets and brexit, if you believed all the naysayers youd never go out of your front door

Wash your hands after handling any currency and make the most of hands washing where possible and don’t pick your nose.

Nah man, 4 month down the line, it'll be a distant memory like zika virus and all the others that were gonna wipe out all of europe.

No need for the expletives or the rest of your quackery IMO.

You do realise that a Cold isn't Flu and that people can/have died of Flu? It's probably OK though just nature's way of bumping off the weak. I can agree with your second sentence to some degree about calm/masks and hand hygiene BUT traveling to affected areas even if you have the constitution of Conan the Barbarian is a consideration.

Case in point I've recently returned from skiing in Lombardy no worries as it was before any reported outbreak (and I had TCP available at all times) you'll be pleased to know and so will Dave Roy and Clare on SW 40 that I'm fine. However Auntie Rico's sister has just returned from the same resort via Milan airport and she has been advised by work to self quarantine and her kids got the same from their school.

So although at the moment there is a binary choice, as it's not on the FO's hit list, it's not a simple 'should I stay or should go now' decision based on a rational/irrational fear of catching a 'heavy flu' or a reliance upon the power of Dettol. You might also be taking a chance of a couple of weeks in the comfort of your own home, or stuck abroad should the picture change and you don't make it back.

It sounds pretty rough in St Helens, I can see why you need to get away for a bit now. You've not bought one of those cheap flights with a stopover in Tehran have you ?

Are most of us going to die? probably not.

Are we going to experience things that will inconvenience us (a nasty bout of flu, having other NHS appointments cancelled, not being able to get something in the shops at some point), well that is definitely a possibility.

Coronavirus kills 5% of people that get it, with 15% of people getting critically ill. Most people will recover from it easy enough but it’s certainly more deadly than flu which kills 0.1% and isn’t comparable to a cold.

I hope Coronavirus isn’t used as an excuse for your poor travelling support, and in response to the OP, if SL is played in front of empty stadiums watching games will be the last of our worries, more pressing will be obtaining food, most of which is imported.
