There is no way that Brand should play at centre against Cas. He may have potential for the future but he's not ready yet.

They need to put bloody Burrell there and see if he comes close to justifying his wage. We have enough second rows.

Whether Brand is ready or not, all we has ask is his best and even though he was shown up last week I saw nothing but 100% from him.

Burrell will never be a RL Centre for as long as I've got a hole in my arris. Reserve grade 2nd row at best, Send him out to Widnes for experience and play one of the fringe players on the bench over him. I feel embarrassed for him seeing him wondering around without a clue.

Can you elaborate?

Heard a couple of rumblings about...

a. Austin and Price has cross words, not entirely sure what about.

b. Widdop has been specifically told to pass the ball and not take the line on, by Price (that has come from a source close to Widdop)

c. Also, heard that Price and Hendo havent been seeing eye to eye over tactics etc....

The underlying picture is i think there is unrest at what Price is trying to achieve tactically. Think some aren't happy.....its certianly going to be an interesting few weeks.

This is from a different source than usual, so could be BS, although the Widdop source is the same that told me we had signed him, so.....

I agree. Although Price had to play him to find out where he is at. Looked out of his depth though.

Price couldn't of won either way last week, if he left him out, were all saying throw him in. But, hes played him and its too early for the lad.....

He was right to play Brand, that’s what he’s here for. Had we been attacking, they’d have been no issue.

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

Re: Castleford - Make or Break : Wed Mar 04, 2020 2:03 pm
Personally I would appoint Henderson caretaker coach, he did well with London. I would hope then to see Austin and Ratchford as halfbacks and Widdop at full back. This is obviously off topic but as all topics seem to end up in the same place this seems as good a place to post it as any.

Price Sacking Sweepstakes:

Who will make the major error that will cost SP his job.
If there is no winner by Monday, it’ll be carried over to the next game. The single error will be deciding factor.

Player (Poster) formline info odds

Ratchford (Morleys D) Falls often, knock on fumbles off his own knees a lot but by and large a solid performer 100/1

Lineham () brain farts and lots of them, likes a banter dig at Saints fans 7/2 j2fav

King () Wan King speciality in the air...with the balls 25/1

Brand (St Helens Wolf) playing centre and is too small 8/1

Austin (longbarn wire) Austin throws out his toys at SP 25/1

Widdop (superblue) playing 7 and ought to be FB 25/1

Hill (morriseyisawire) yellow/red card from a headshot specialist 3/1f

Clark D () rank outsider with no chance of falling foul don’t waste your money 5000/1

Cooper () Likes to throw the odd punch and earn 3 holidays a season. 7/2 j2fav

Currie () just a plodder these days 33/1

BMM () been lucky in running recently and one to take on the head 10/1

Clark J () 1st of Karl Fitz recycle signings. Not paying dividends 50/1

Burrell (Ratti) on too much ‘bloody’ money 33/1

Davis consistently solid performer above his weight but other preferred 200/1

Johnson () not likely to make the cut, shown up once this season and didn’t disgrace 1000/1

Philbin () top of the ground runner who caught the eye of selectors 100/1

Sita (RD) never plays 16 mins or more but knows how to use an elbow) 33/1

Mamo () our of sorts recently but could cause a shock with his low weight. 10/1

Patton () out of favour and running at in a player selling stakes Widnes 500/1

Walker () used only sparingly but plays above his weight. Others preferred. 250/1

Latu () Another of Karl F recycle signings, very little form at all over the last two years, but previously did have some interest from other stables, could be a shock on the cards if he makes the cut but others preferred until he gets a run out. 50/1
