Out of Contract Players : Thu Apr 02, 2020 11:48 am
The old website used to have contract expiry dates in player details, but they seem to have been lost with the recent update.

Who do we have coming out of contract in 2020? I think Jason Clark and Ben Currie are? Any others?

Jason Clark: last season I probably would have said I was ok with him leaving, but he started this season well and was worth a place in the 13 on merit. I think he is worth another deal, as long as his contract value is appropriate, he's never going to be a star player, but goes about his job ok.

Ben Currie: Another who has stepped up performances this year, seems more confident in his knee and looks a little sharper than he did last season. He'll probably never have the pace he had a couple of years back, but much of his game focused on his skill with ball in hand and running good lines, which in theory should only get better. Fairly confident he will get a new deal, but its probably not to the value he would have expected a couple of years back.

Harvey Livett
Ellis Robson
Declan Patton
BMM
Matt Davis
Samy Kibula

I think that is all, together with your two. BMM of course is going anyway which I think will be a loss. Its a pity the season will not complete as Livett's progress at HKR was looking promising. The cynic in me is a bit suspicious of Jason Clarke's performance this year, but props seem to be in short supply. I would agree about Currie, it's just a pity again that the season will not complete as he was certainly looking a lot better than last year.

The break could be good for Currie. Had a good start, which must have helped mentally, now time to rest and train without impact for a while and come back physically and mentally better. Fingers crossed

I'd just take Matt Davis over Jason clark to be honest as he does pretty much the same but can also cover 9 and will be on less Money than Clark.
I Think Kibula will be let go as unless when the season starts again he suddenly becomes amazing i don't think he will have enough time to show what he cam do.
I'd like Livett to stay and be given a run at 13 i think him and Currie would be great 13's.
Currie is still a good player and plays very much Like Gaz Ellis plays now a days, Lost his speed but still isn't slow, good defensively, good hands, yeah i'd keep him.
With BMM going that frees up a quota spot and a big chunk of Salary so will be interesting what last minute panic buy forwards we will get next year?
