Alastair Campbell tweeting about Wire again : Tue May 26, 2020 11:44 am
Today AC took a break from slagging off Matt Hancock and Dominic Cummings to film a vid in a Warrington training top referencing (briefly) the Greg Inglis signing

https://twitter.com/campbellclaret/stat ... 2407904258

He's been doing this a lot recently. Even when he's just talking about politics he tweets photos of himself in gear from the Wire shop.

I know he's been a Burnley fan for years but this Warrington thing has been quite new, I've only seen it from him in the last year or so. I wonder whether this is something he's doing in conjunction with our media team. He is a comms man so he knows what he's doing, I wonder if he's blagged himself some free merchandise in exchange for brand placement

It's good publicity for us, he has 600K followers and reaches a different audience than would usually hear about us - lots of southern middle class types.

I would hope the club tries to tap in to his knowledge as he does know how to do comms.

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

I'm guessing he would have blagged some gear,or had it sent on From This Meeting

There is no way he would have spent his money at your club shop.

And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

Coming from a man who was balls deep in getting the country involved in an illegal war, that saw the deaths of far more than have died from this virus, I'd say that tweet is absolutely dripping in irony.

You have to admire his front though. If I had that much blood on my hands, I'd have my head down pretty constantly, instead of throwing sh!*e at other people on social media as he frequently does.

His father did a song about Warrington Wolves.

Wichita Lineman
Glen Campbell

I am a lineman for the county
And I drive the main road
Searchin' in the sun for another overload
I hear you singin' in the wire,
I can hear you through the whine
And the Wichita lineman is still on the line

His job was to make Blair look good, not taking part in telephone calls to G Bush.

  If you genuinely believe that was his only job, then u are a tad naive.

Campbell to Blair is what Cummings presently is to Johnson - he's an enforcer. He cracked heads among the party MP's when things needed doing. If information needed presenting in a certain way (like making going to war with Iraq seem a good option), then he did it.

His hands are as dirty as anyone's when it comes to getting us into the Iraq war with the US - Just ask Dr David Kelly's family for evidence of Campbell's handiwork.

Neither glass half full or empty. Just a realist.

I hope he washed them, for the length of 2 Happy Birthdays

The most shameful example of British "justice" in recent memory
