I don't know if it was just my disappointment of the season that skewed my opinion but I didn't think he looked like a total world beater and he only played 2 games (?) and middle 8s, so 4 matches against championship sides and the other 3 against teams struggling at the bottom of superleague. Even if he tore up trees more serious questions needed to be asked of him for him to gain the reputation he has in some quarters around here.
If he will come for gelling money then great I'd still have him, king would be a good option for second row and covering centre. Our priority IMO remains in signing a top quality prop.
Yeah i think how good Hiku was, was blown out of proportion seeing who we played against, but theres no doubt he was a good centre.
Yeah prop has been a weak point for us for a long time now, I'm willing to give Latu a chance no matter how much i say i don't think he's the right signing. A new lifestyle and different style of competition could be the making of him. Seeing as he's lost weight from when he arrived and has clearly been working on his fitness i'll give him a chance.
If and that's IF we have actually signed Rob Butler that for me is a very positive signing. I know he only had 1 year in super league but he was very impressive and took the ball up hard and tackled hard and he's still only 23-24 years old.
