A True genius on the field. Unfortunately the last 'proper' half back the game has produced. We wont see his like again.

Really enjoyed watching him play, mind you when we were in our pomp I enjoyed watching the team play so whilst he was instrumental he had plenty of back up.

When he was 'on it' kicking, passing and finding gaps for himself and others, controlling our play, the opposition play and refereeing most matches whilst he was at it....brilliant. I also liked the fact that he had his flaws, if that makes any sense at all.

He's given me some brilliant memories watching the Wire as a teenager and early adulthood. I'm just glad he had something to show for all the effort he put in by the time he retired. Had an absolute stormer of a latter career. Not many players left around with the cheek he had on the field. Remember the try against Bradford when he almost stepped over the ingoal as he was too busy picking out his spot in the stands? Or when he shoulder charged Liam Farrell onto his backside? Oh and the intercepts! Many of them. Deadly with boot in play aswell. I'll miss his presence around this club but it's best to start fresh as possible. Good luck, Lee!

Our all time record points scorer, says it all really. Thanks for so many great memories mate, good luck for the future. Let’s send him out a winner and with a standing ovation.

Not a clue how good a coach he is, as I have never seen him in action.
But I loved watching him play and I always say only clever players get lots of interception tries. Briers is/was a bit of quality for me. When he and Gleeson got together ... wow we were lively on the right hand side of the field.

What a great servant Lee has been, and a wonderful player. We certainly got our recruitment right that day.

When you look at his canon of skills compared to some players who are tagged genius and brilliant, well he was just streets ahead.

I hope a change in club and role works for him, and that he isn't lost to the game or to the club.

A brilliant player and as Moe pointed out the last of his ilk...which is a real shame. He got better with age and playing in better teams but I don't really buy the inconsistency label he had early in his career. For me he was always a class act, and blimey could we do with his genius in the last 20 right now. A true Warrington legend who would always be in any all time Wire team.

I always compared him to your George Best, Alex Higgins etc, these type of people don’t come around that often. You can’t teach what they had it was in built
