Not on 2021 maybe, but we have a World Cup at the end of the year. So it’s possible Ratchford, King, Williams , Widdop, Cooper, Clark and Currie will have a very short offseason to work with a new coach before the season starts in 2022…

It's a no from me. I'll welcome Powell once this season is over.

I’m pretty split to be honest hence the question.

I think if he did, the time he could spend with the players before the end of season could prove invaluable to 2022 preparations. But maybe coming in under a cloud of the challenge cup loss and a poor season to date may put him on the back foot with fans.

I’m sure Price would like to stay to the end of the year and see his season out, he may not have had the success we all may have wanted, but he’s a good genuine bloke and I don’t doubt he hasn’t given this his all. He deserves to go out under his own terms.

The response to this question should be quite alarming. The guy we’re trying to portray as a big signing, isn’t wanted immediately as he’s seen as a sideways/backwards move to a guy who has delivered a mediocre return in his tenure.

hmm, i can see the merits of it, us booting pricey out isn't our way though, whether he'd like an earlier dart to get his kids back through quarentine in time for the start of the new school year, perhaps.

Probably aint gonna happen though

I don't think it's a great idea TBH it's a bit disrespectful and it's not as if we are languishing outside the play off places and out of touch. Also anything that Powell achieved good or bad would always be with Price's team....

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

No point changing horses mid stream. Potential disruption outweighs “new coach bounce” in my view.

I concur with Alffi`s comments regarding possible World Cup disruptions for 7 of our starting 13 totally disrupting Powell`s preseason preparations.

With such a large number of players missing for a large chunk of preseason, then it will be very difficult for the new coaching staff to get their message across and impose major changes to our style of play.

If our form at the end of this season is problematic like 2020, then I would welcome Powell to the fold early, to give him more scope with our players.
